Estate planning, wills, trusts, and probate services for families in Texas and North Carolina. Flat-fee pricing, virtual consultations, and the personal attention of an experienced attorney.

About the Practice

Estate planning that
fits your life.

A good estate plan does more than distribute property. It protects your family from unnecessary court proceedings, gives trusted people the legal authority to act on your behalf if something happens to you, and makes sure your wishes are honored.

Rania Combs Law helps families in Texas and North Carolina create estate plans that reflect their goals and circumstances. Whether you need a straightforward Will, a revocable living trust, incapacity documents like powers of attorney, or guidance through probate, you’ll receive personal attention and clear, flat-fee pricing from an attorney with more than 30 years of experience.

Every family is different. The right plan depends on what you own, whom you want to protect, and how you want things handled when you’re no longer around to make decisions yourself.

Common Questions

Estate Planning FAQ

What types of estate planning services do you offer for Texas and North Carolina residents?

Rania Combs Law provides comprehensive estate planning services including Last Wills and Testaments, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, advance directives, HIPAA authorizations, and probate administration. Every plan is customized to fit your family's needs and your state's legal requirements.

How does your virtual estate planning process work?

You start with a free phone or video conference where Rania learns about your situation and goals. If you decide to proceed, you'll receive a flat-fee quote, then complete a questionnaire through our secure client portal. Rania drafts your documents, you review them, and once satisfied, you receive state-specific signing instructions. The entire process happens without visiting an office.

Do you charge hourly rates or flat fees for your legal services?

Rania Combs Law uses flat-fee pricing for most services. You'll receive a written quote before any work begins, so you know exactly what you will pay. No hourly billing, no surprises. You can view general fee information on the fees page.

Do I need both a Will and an incapacity plan?

Yes. A Will only takes effect at death and has no authority during your lifetime. If you become incapacitated without powers of attorney and advance directives, your family may have to seek a court-appointed guardian to manage your affairs. Both types of documents work together to protect you during life and after.

How long does it typically take to complete my estate planning documents?

Most estate plans are completed within two to four weeks from our initial conference. The exact timeline depends on how quickly you can provide information through the client portal and how many revisions you request. Rania will keep you informed at each step.
