Happy Holidays!
One of my favorite poems is one Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote about success.
Although many in our world define success by how much money one earns, the size of one’s house, or the make of one’s car, Emerson defines success in the following way:
To laugh often and much; to win the respect of the intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that one life has breathed easier because you lived here. This is to have succeeded.
During this season of peace, may we all seek out the success that comes from appreciating the beauty that surrounds us, finding the best in others, and extending kindness and compassion to those we encounter!
Warmest wishes for peace and success this holiday season and in the coming year!
All my best,
Rania
